The last few days of the transfer window saw plenty of frantic buying and selling as Premier League clubs scrambled to put the finishing touches to their squads for the season.
But then the hustle and bustle of deadline day gave way to the relative calm of an international break, meaning lots of new signings have yet to make their debuts.
As the Premier League returns this weekend, we take a look at the players who could be pulling on the colours of their new club for the first time.
Kevin De Bruyne (August 30, Wolfsburg to Manchester City, £55m)
It had already been a summer of big spending for Manchester City as they strive to bridge last season's gap between themselves and title winners Chelsea.
And despite a 100 per cent start to the season, Manuel Pellegrini sanctioned the outlay of £55m to bring De Bruyne back to the Premier League.
After an impressive spell in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, the former Chelsea playmaker returns with something to prove, starting with City's trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Anthony Martial (September 1, Monaco to Manchester United, £36m)
In a move that shocked pretty much everyone - not least Monaco - Manchester United decided to splash out £36m on unproven French striker Anthony Martial in the last few hours of the transfer window.
It is a massive gamble for United, who needed reinforcements up front, to spend such sums on a 19-year-old who has played just five senior appearances.
However, Martial can make himself an instant hero if he was to score for United in their grudge match with Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Virgil van Dijk (September 1, Celtic to Southampton, £13m)
After an inconsistent start to the season, Ronald Koeman decided that Southampton needed a little extra steel in their back line.
His answer was to swoop for Virgin van Dijk of Celtic, brining the well-regarded Dutch defender to the Premier League for £13m.
The 24-year-old had been considering his Celtic future after their failed to qualify for the Champions League and said moving south of the border was the 'perfect step' for him.
He could well experience it for the first time in Saturday's match at West Brom.

Fabio Borini (August 31, Liverpool to Sunderland, £10m)
Having failed to impress during his time at Liverpool, scoring just three times in 38 appearances, Borini was sold off to struggling Sunderland on deadline day.
The Italian had fallen even further down the Anfield pecking order following the summer arrivals of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino, knowing he wouldn't get too many minutes.
He knows Sunderland well, having spent the 2013-14 season on loan there, and could be rushed straight into the attack to aid the goal-shy Black Cats against Tottenham on Sunday.
Liverpool flop Fabio Borini will get another crack at Premier League success after joining Sunderland
Ramiro Funes Mori (September 1, River Plate to Everton, £9.5m)
With injury doubts over Bryan Oviedo and Brendan Galloway, Everton's new Argentine signing Funes could be thrown straight in at the Premier League deep end against Chelsea on Saturday.
But the 24-year-old will be confident of handling whatever physical challenges come his way having played for River Plate in Argentina's top flight.
As Everton's most expensive summer signing, Funes comes with plenty of expectations as the Toffees aim to climb back towards the top four this season.
Everton's biggest outlay of the transfer window was on the Argentine defender Ramiro Funes Mori
Jonny Evans (August 29, Manchester United to West Bromwich Albion, £6m)
After Louis van Gaal felt him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, Evans was allowed to join West Brom shortly before the close of the transfer window, signing a four-year contract.
It brought to an end the Northern Irishman's 11-year association with United, which included three Premier League title successes and two League Cup wins.
He could slip into the Baggies back line for their home match against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.
Defender Jonny Evans ended his 11-year association with Man United to join West Brom for £6m
Glenn Murray (September 1, Crystal Palace to Bournemouth, £5m)
One of three deadline day arrivals at Bournemouth, Murray, who signed a four-year contract, will offer Eddie Howe's team additional firepower.
Murray arrives having scored 47 goals in 125 outings for Palace and could well prove the difference between the Cherries staying in the Premier League and being a one-season wonder.
Bournemouth head to Norwich on Saturday afternoon and Murray will certainly be in contention for a start.

Papy Djilobodji (September 1, Nantes to Chelsea, £4m)
Papiss Mbouba Mbwiwa Abu Fuongo Baba Mison "Papy" Djilobodji staked an excellent claim to be the Premier League's longest name when he arrived at Chelsea on deadline day.
And he also has a decent chance of claiming a place in Chelsea's back line if their current travails continue. The giant Senegal international arrived from French side Nantes, where he played 186 times.
Jose Mourinho may fancy ringing the changes for Saturday's visit to Everton but in all likelihood Djilobodji will start Stamford Bridge life on the bench.

Nikica Jelavic (September 1, Hull City to West Ham United, £3m)
West Ham were one of the busiest Premier League clubs on deadline day, bringing in Victor Moses, re-acquiring Alex Song and signing the Hull City striker Jelavic.
The Croatian scored eight goals last season but couldn't prevent Hull dropping out of the Premier League, though he's managed to bounce straight back to the top-flight.
If Slaven Bilic decides to hand him a Hammers debut straight away, they host Newcastle United on Monday evening.

Joleon Lescott (September 1, West Bromwich Albion to Aston Villa, £2m)
Villa's summer-long pursuit of former England international Lescott ended successfully with a £2m deal on deadline day.
Once Jonny Evans had safely arrived at The Hawthorns, West Brom were happy to let Lescott go to their near neighbours.
Tim Sherwood will hope Lescott's nous and experience can shore up their defence and he could be handed a Villa debut at Leicester City on Sunday.

Obbi Oulare (September 1, Club Bruges to Watford, undisclosed)
Watford's deadline day signing of the 19-year-old striker Oulare on a five-year contract spoke of a long-term project rather than short-term fix, especially as their main objective was to offload players.
But the Belgium under 21 international, who stands 6ft 5in tall, will offer something different to a Hornets forward line that has managed just two goals in their opening four Premier League games.
They are at home to Swansea City on Saturday as they bid to improve that record.

Matija Sarkic (September 1, Anderlecht to Aston Villa, undisclosed)
Villa signed the talented 18-year-old Montenegrin keeper on deadline day with an eye on the future and Sarkic is most likely to feature in the youth and under 21 teams initially.

Anders Lindegaard (August 31, Manchester United to West Bromwich Albion, Free)
One thing Manchester United aren't short of is goalkeepers and, while the David de Gea saga grabbed all the headlines, Danish understudy Lindegaard was allowed to follow Evans to The Hawthorns.
Lindegaard made 29 appearances for United during his five seasons there and should play more regularly for the Baggies, challenging Boaz Myhill and Ben Foster for the gloves.
Anders Lindegaard was surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and has joined West Brom
Dieumerci Mbokani (August 31, Dynamo Kiev to Norwich City, Loan)
The DR Congo striker arrived at Carrow Road on loan just before the transfer window shut and comes with a decent pedigree in both Belgium and the Ukraine.
29-year-old Mbokani will offer Alex Neil additional options in attack as the Canaries attempt to prove they're not out of place in the Premier League.
Neil described him as an 'exciting signing' and we could catch a first glimpse of him in Norwich's home game with Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Victor Moses (September 1, Chelsea to West Ham United, Loan)
After the summer arrivals of Radamel Falcao and Pedro at Stamford Bridge, a third consecutive loan spell for Moses always looked likely.
And having spent time of late at Liverpool and Stoke City of late, the Nigerian frontman now goes hunting for goals at West Ham.
He could well make the team for the visit of Newcastle United on Monday night.
