Elshcon Nigeria Limited (Elshcon) has signed agreement to represent MEPDECK Solutions Pte. Limited, a leading one-stop systems provider of anchoring, towing and mooring systems for the marine and offshore market in Singapore.
The representative agreement empowers Elshcon to promote, represent and market all MEPDECK's products within the Gulf of Guinea.
By mutual agreement, MEPDECK also represents Elshcon's goods and services within Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Speaking at the signing of the agreement, Managing Director/CEO of Elshcon, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji expressed his confidence in this synergy, adding that it was an exciting development given the dynamic evolvement of Elshcon.
Membere-Otaji, who will be inaugurated next month as the President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, said the development would widen market opportunities for both companies.
In his remarks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MEP DECK, Mr. Nelson Lau expressed his belief that this integration was a perfect fit for prospective clients in order to develop a more comprehensive market for marine and offshore products within the Gulf of Guinea.
The products in view to be distributed and marketed by Elshcon include those for anchoring, towing and mooring systems namely: anchors, anchor chains and fittings, hull fittings, steel wire ropes, synthetic ropes, and handling systems.
Others are for cargo handling systems including: dry bulk, liquid mud, methanol, mud tank and integrated cargo control system.
The rest includes gas mixing systems and NDT wire rope testing; deck machineries and cranes: towing/mooring winches, windlass, capstan, deck cranes, hydraulic power pack, shark jaw and towing pin.
