Reports coming in from the ongoing governorship
election in Kogi state revealed that the incumbent governor, Idris Wada,
and his wife could not be accredited as the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) voter card reader failed to accredit them.
The Cable reports that the governor who is running on the
platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) angrily stormed out of
the polling unit 001 Odu in Dekina local government area of the state.
It was reported that the PDP candidate came around 12.pm to be accredited, but the voter card reader rejected his fingerprints.
The first lady of the state reportedly suffered the same fate as her
husband, but she was said to have filled the incident form before
angrily walking away from the polling unit.
