She is in the throes of filming an array of movies. 

So it is no wonder Kate Hudson was in relaxation mode as she enjoyed an idyllic day of a boat with her 11-year-old son Ryder on Sunday.

The 36-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday to share a host of photographs and videos of her day on the water with her eldest child.

Bikini-clad Kate looked sensational as she sported a chic-neon two piece with black piping.

The exercise-loving mother-of-two flaunted the fruits of her labour as she exhibited her incredibly toned figure - with rippling abs, lean legs and toned arms.

In one video Ryder and Kate launch themselves from the boat, in a clip that was captured in slow-motion while a Bob Marley song plays over the top.

Clearly loving her day on the water, Kate captioned the video: 'Perfect day #HappySunday #LoveMyBoy #RyderMan #BobMarley #OneDrop #PontoonSunday'

Kate also posted a hilarious photo showing her clutching a huge bag of crisps and a glass of wine while showing off her enviable abs. 

She added the caption: 'Pontoon Sunday... #HappySunday'

Ryder is Kate's son with her first husband The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. 

She also shares four-year-old Bingham with her former partner Matt Bellamy. 

Kate is currently filming both Deepwater Horizon and Mother's Day which are both due for release next year.
