Hollywood TV show ‘Quantico’, which premiered in USA on Sunday night (September 27), has garnered a lot of attention across the world, and especially India, owing to its cast that includes Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

The show opened to mixed reviews with some calling it an edge-of-the-seat thriller, and some referred to it as having derived inspiration from shows like ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Homeland’ and ‘How To Get Away With Murder’.

Despite these, the one person who has been receiving the most appreciation from cinegoers and fellow actors and actresses alike is Priyanka, who has hit a new milestone with ‘Quantico’.

It’s said that Priyanka Chopra was asked to choose between two Hollywood TV shows – one which was already on air and she had to play a small role and the other was new, but lead role. The talented actress chose the latter and hence, landed with ‘Quantico’.

TV viewers and the connoiseurs of cinema can’t stop raving about the pilot of show and how Priyanka has acted and carried herself in it. While the Bollywood celebrities have been taking to Twitter, wishing luck and praising Priyanka, she has won unanimous praise from her Hollywood counterparts as well.

Before the premiere of the show, cousin Parineeti Chopra and actresses Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, and Anushka Sharma among others had wished luck to Priyanka. (Read the full story here)
After the show premiered in US, people took to Twitter to praise the show and Priyanka.

And is there anything Priyanka Chopra cannot do?

Apart from the twitterati, various publications world over are showering praises for ‘Quantico’ and Priyanka Chopra.

The New York Times has the most unique compliment for Priyanka Chopra. It says: “The strongest human asset in Quantico is Ms. Chopra, a Bollywood superstar and former Miss World who is immediately charismatic and commanding amid the otherwise generic ensemble. If there’s a problem with her casting, it’s that she may come across as too seasoned and assured to be persuasive as a shaky, neophyte recruit.”

Hollywood Reporter says: “And Safran and company have a nice little conceit in the pilot where we meet a bunch of the FBI recruits on their way to their first day,

then follow them in the early stages as they meet each other and build some background stories along the way. Cleverly, Quantico achieves this by having each recruit find out a piece of information redacted from the files of a co-recruit. Fail to find out the secret (which the FBI already knows — this is a training exercise, not free intern labor) and you’re out.”

Variety says: “With an arresting lead in Priyanka Chopra, a former Miss World who was born in India, the show races through a lot of material very quickly, which makes it difficult to get a firm handle on where all of this might settle.”

The People Magazine writes: “The pilot, at least, is well worth checking out. The story isn’t always plausible — there’s one twist that would blow away every brainstorm that ever disrupted Carrie Mathison’s peace of mind — but it’s complicated, clever and fast enough that you start to wonder if even the most incidental detail may actually have significance in the season.”

‘Quantico’ will premiere in India on October 3 on Star World and Star World Premiere HD.
