Justin Bieber Says ‘Sorry’ After Storming Offstage Mid-Performance

n a move that shocked fans and broke some Beliebers’ hearts, Justin Bieber left the stage during a performance on Thursday night (Oct. 29) after just one song.
The 21-year-old was filming an appearance for the late-night Norwegian talk show “Senkveld” in Oslo, Norway. He was reportedly slated to perform five or six songs, but he left after the first one following an awkward confrontation with fans.
According to one fan at the concert, Bieber kicked off the set with his 2012 hit “Boyfriend,” but then decided he wanted to redo the performance because there was liquid on the stage. As you can see in the fan’s video below, he walks to the wet part of the stage with a rag in hand, but as he attempts to wipe up the puddle, fans in the front row start to grab at him and he recoils.

“Guys! Yo! Listen to me! Are you listening?” he asks the fans. “OK, I’m trying to wipe the floor. Give me a second, yo. Guys, never mind, I’m done, I’m not doing the show. I’m not doing the show.”
People in the crowd can be heard laughing — seemingly unsure if he’s serious or not — but he then walks past his dancers and off the stage, and did not return. Fans tried chanting Bieber’s name to get him to come back, and they even started an impromptu group rendition of “Baby.” His dancers can be seen sitting onstage, clapping along.

According to the same fan above, the two hosts of “Senkveld” eventually got onstage and apologized, informing the crowd that Justin had left the building and would not be returning.
Shortly after the incident, Bieber took to Instagram to issue a long apology, explaining he’s had a “rough week.”
“Sadly it’s Been a rough week for me, long days no sleep, while having to be ‘on’ as they would say for cameras fans etc,” he wrote. “In no way did I mean to come across mean, but chose to end the show as the people in the front row would not listen. Hopefully people will understand where I am coming from.”
Bieber continued by promising to make it up to the fans who were left disappointed.
“I don’t always handle things the right way but I’m human and I’m working on getting better at responding not reacting,” he wrote. “Unfortunately people were affected by this as am I. For the people in the back I am so sorry and for anyone I may have disappointed im sorry. Sorry for wasting the tv people’s time I’ll be sure to make it up to you next time on tour.. With love Justin.”
Unfortunately, this is far from the first time Bieber’s had to apologize for disappointing his fans. His recent comeback of sorts — leading up to his Nov. 13 album, Purpose — has been marked by several public appearances where he’s vowed to improve his behavior and insists he’s a changed man. And, really, that’s all we want from him.
Is it too late for him to say “sorry” now? Nope. We’re rooting for you, JB.
