3 PDP Chieftains Attempt To Stop Being Arraigned

Three chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state have filed a motion to stop their arraignment. 
The three PDP chieftains were supposed to be arraigned in court come December 9.

In a motion filed before Justice Reuben Odugu of the Enugu high court, the PDP chieftains are asking the court to stop the Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police in the state from prosecuting them. The three PDP members whose names are withheld are from Ezzeagu local government area. They are pushing for the stop in prosecution for forgery, impersonation and perjury.
Justice Odugu had on December 2014 issued a restraining order on one of the PDP chieftains from parading himself as a candidate of the PDP in the last election.
Just recently,  from the party’s secretariat to the Port Harcourt Polo club, old GRA, on Monday, November 30, in honour of over 98 supporters killed in election violence in the state during the 2015 general elections.
