The 12 nominees for BBC Sports Personality of the Year have been announced - who do you think deserves the prestigious award?
Andy Murray is the new favourite to win the BBC Sports
Personality of the Year award after leading Great Britain to their first
Davis Cup triumph since 1936.
But he faces tough competition from Jessica Ennis-Hill following
her triumphant return to athletics at the World Championships, while
Tyson Fury could create another upset after beating Wladimir Klitschko
to claim the world heavyweight title.
Chris Froome, Mo Farah and Greg Rutherford's continued excellent
earned them recognition, while Kevin Sinfield can count on the backing
of the rugby league community.
Lucy Bronze is the only footballer among the nominees (sorry,
Jamie Vardy) after her starring role at the Women's World Cup, while
Lizzie Armitstead joins her on a list with three women and nine men.
As ever, there was much discussion over names who were left off,
with Joe Root desperately unlucky not to make the cut after starring in
the Ashes and rising to the top of cricket's batting world rankings,
while there was also no place for perennial fans' favourite AP McCoy who
retired this year.
Have your say on who should win the 2015 edition of the award!
